Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty
Description official descriptions
Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty is a standalone mission pack for Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines. All six commandos from the original game are back, and have some new weapons and abilities at their disposal. The most prominent addition are the new non-lethal weapons (chloroform for the Spy, fists for the Green Beret, the club for the Driver etc.), which give players the ability to silently, but temporarily disable enemy guards. The Green Beret and the Spy can cuff unconscious enemies to immobilize them, and the Spy can even steal their uniforms. All commandos can control captured guards and use them as a distraction while keeping them at gunpoint, but the guards must not leave the controlling commando's field of view, else they will flee and raise the alarm.
Eight new and difficult missions are featured, taking place between 1940 and 1945 in various locations in Nazi-occupied Europe. The mission maps are even more detailed than in the original game, and leave little space for error. There are some mission-specific controllable characters as well (Yugoslav partisan Dragiša Skopje and Ukrainian spy Natasha).
Beyond the Call of Duty features a separate executable that acts as a tutorial. Apart from updated and higher-quality videos focusing on gameplay basics and each commando for himself, there are two playable training missions where players can test their commandos' abilities.

Trivia
20th July Plot
The fifth mission, titled "Guess Who's Coming Tonight", takes place five days before the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler in Rastenburg, East Prussia (today Kętrzyn, Poland). The photograph seen in the briefing, where Hitler is shaking hands with general Karl Bodenschatz, was taken on the same day (in reality) when the game's mission takes place in, 15 July 1944. While the mentioned assassination attempt and the character of loyalist colonel Von Below are real, Von Below's first name is Wilhelm in the game, while his real name was Nicolaus. His capture by commandos is completely fictional, as his real-world counterpart remained in service until the end of the war.
Release
Initially planned as an add-on to Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty was eventually released as a mid-price stand-alone version.
