Captain Speaking 2002
Description
Captain Speaking 2002 is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. It is an updated version of the previous "Captain Speaking" for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 and has mostly the same features.
It is a set of 37 adventures for various airline flights, with varying ATC voices (US/UK English, French, German), weather changes, and procedural variations in the flights.
Improvements from the previous Captain Speaking FS2000 release include a different 'flight level' setting, new 'requested flight level' setting, aircraft ID read-back modified, real ATIS frequencies, ATIS message improved, push-back procedure, and substitute route.
Four Concorde adventures can be installed, if you have a third-party Concorde aircraft to fly them - as this aircraft was omitted from FS2002.
The CD also contains three encrypted sets of 12 adventures each, which had to be separately purchased and unpacked before use.
The adventures are experienced through ATC voice-messages during flight, and the standard ATC text options should be turned off, so as not to confuse the player with conflicting information. Keyboard-commands are used to activate/control progress, and repeat messages in case something was missed or needs correcting. Weather and flight legs can also vary from session to session.
