Jason MacIsaac began work as a Game Designer and Script Writer at Microforum, Inc. where he co-designed the PC adventure game Huygen's Disclosure, and contributed questions to the PC trivia game Mind Grind. In 1996, he began serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the multilingual games e-zine Gamesmania.com, where he was responsible for the maintenance and creation of daily content--reviews, previews, news, and interviews.

In 2000, Jason joined Greedy Productions as the Executive Editor of Elecplay.com, the official website of the long-running video game television show Electric Playground. He writes content for both the website and TV show. In addition to his duties at Electric Playground, Jason has taught at the IADT’s Video Game Design and Development program since October 2003. He teaches the courses History and Theory of Video Games, Game Journalism, Game Logic, and Storytelling and Storyboarding I. He is a member of the International Game Developers Association of Toronto, where he serves on the Steering Committee, and works as webmaster of the chapter’s website. Jason MacIsaac has been recorded in two separate documentaries and credited as a “Video Game Expert”.

In October 2006 he co-founded the casual game development studio Cerebral Vortex Games.
