Laddie Ervin is a co-founder of entertainment production company Sparkshore Productions LLC. He also owns Input/Output Deluxe LLC, a Los Angeles based company specializing in international production and representation for the videogame and computer animation industries. Currently he is serving as Vice President of Business Development, North America for Sparx* an Emmy® award winning 3D animation and visual effects studio.
He previously worked as a Senior Producer at Atari, inc. producing videogames for PC and console systems. Prior to that, he served as Director of Program Development at the G4 television network (now G4TechTV) from pre-launch through their first year on-air. He worked as Online Marketing Manager, Brand Manager and Director of Marketing for Accolade/Infogrames (now Atari) from 1996-2001 working on successful brands including Unreal Tournament, Neverwinter Nights, Test Drive, Driver and Hardball. He also has served as a national account sales manager at Macmillan Computer Publishing specializing in videogame and hobby books for their Brady Games imprint.
Laddie was the lead writer for Atari’s Test Drive game for PlayStation® 2, Xbox® and PC and produced and co-created the Mortal Kombat Kards collectable card game for Brady Games.
He has composed music for Television and Videogames including the Poken theme song for one of G4’s early mascot characters, The theme for G4’s Go Go Tokyo, and the song Vaunt for Midway’s Defender game for PlayStation® 2 and Xbox® (under the band name “Trigger”).
Laddie also was a writer, writing adviser and actor for the television program Beyond Our Control from 1984-1986 and has done voice acting and characterizations for PC and console videogames including Accolade’s Redline.
