Biography edit · view history
Stephan Butler started as an Assistant Product Manager for a Broderbund startup company Kyodai in 1988. He didn’t have much game experience but did spend 5 years in Japan and was proficient in Japanese. Kyodia evaluated Japanese PC titles for potential publication in the United States.
In 1989 Stephan produced Pipe Dream for Lucasfilm, which led to a position with Disney where he produced several PC games but focused on cartridge platforms. Some of the games he produced include Castle of Illusion, Fantasia, Little Mermaid, and an early childhood educational product Mickey’s Jigsaw Puzzles.
After Disney he worked for a couple of developers to get more familiar with the trench work of product development. Then in the early 90’s he started Tahoe Software Productions and produced a few PC and Cartridge titles before the company closed.
That closure initiated a new career in carpentry. A few years into it, the draw of the internet technologies pulled him to San Francisco where he spent several years designing and producing websites and database driven e-commerce and portal technologies.
The dot com crash sparked the old carpentry flame. Stephan crewed with a few contractors and then got his General B Contractors license in 2003.
Now, in 2006, he provides home improvement design, project management, and field services. Information about this is shown in the MeijinPro.com website.
Stephan is also an aspiring writer. The subject of choice is reality versus religions. The position is non-denominational Christian. Works are published in the second website listed below… 2nd Grade.
