Holy crud this game is fun

The Good
Where to begin? The gameplay is simple but surprisingly addictive. You really have to scramble to build up your castle within a very limited time, and once the battle starts you've gotta scramble even more to take out the enemy ships. Pure frenetic action, and what old-school gaming is all about.

The Bad
Massively difficult, at least for newbies. Rampart is not for the faint of heart -- the computer will tear you to shreds if you don't know exactly what to do.

The Bottom Line
A very fun game from the late-80s/early-90s era which is hands-down superior to 99% of the crap that's come out since Quake ushered in the 3D era.

Ready, Aim, Fire!

The Good
Rather funny. The music was rather interesting to listen... The Super Guns were also fantastic... Very realistic. Once you lose your walls, you lose your castle!

The Bad
It's too old! I played it when I was only 3 or 4 years old!

The Bottom Line
Interesting for a while. Perfect for young kids who want to fight against each other, but their parents don't like it. ;-)
