Итак, что же мы имеем? Бесконечный процесс веселого и буйного действия не перегруженный головоломками и без кровавых сцен, и все это - в хорошо знакомой "мультяшной" вселенной. Плюс возможность встретиться с героями мультфильмов и приятная графика. Вообще говоря, продукт, бесспорно, ориентирован на младшую аудиторию, но лично я провел за Taz: Wanted немало приятных минут, отдыхая от всего вокруг. Единственный нюанс: люди, не знающие английского языка на весьма приличном уровне не смогут взять от игры все, поскольку диалоги и комментарии имеют весьма существенное значение для оценки чувства юмора разработчиков. Но пройти игру можно без всяких проблем, и не владея английским. Короче, детям рекомендуется однозначно, взрослым - тоже.

Jump&Runs haben sich rar gemacht. Umso erfreulicher, dass uns hier keine billige Konsolenkonvertierung ins Haus steht, sondern ein ausgereifter Genrevertreter. Wer eher auf Babes, Bullets, Bombs steht, greift zu Dukes Manhattan Projekt. Wer hingegen harmlosen Humor, knallbunte Zeichentrick-Optik und Joypad-Tüftelei mag, ist bei Taz: Wanted bestens aufgehoben.

Taz Wanted has a lot of potential that, sadly, isn't fully realized due to the interface problems. The unique puzzles, combined with the fact that Taz just can't die, make for an interesting game that is well-suited to family play because of the minimal violence, colorful animation, and fun powerups that involve lots of burping. The frustrations brought on by the camera, though, may off-put many players.

Es müssen nicht immer Ego-Shooter, Rollenspiele und Echtzeit-Strategicals sein. Ein gutes Jump & Run sollte man auch nicht von der Festplatte schubsen. Taz Wanted macht mir einen Heidenspaß und ist so abgedreht, dass man auch als Erwachsener auf seine Kosten kommt. Leider wird's manchmal wegen Kamera-Problemchen etwas unübersichtlich und zuweilen sind die Bodentexturen etwas grob aufgelöst. Für Genre-Fans trotzdem gut!

Warum, warum, warum? Warum?? Ist es denn wirklich so schwierig, eine Kameraführung hinzubekommen, die nicht bei der ersten schnellen Bewegung die Flinte ins Korn wirft? Und wenn ich sie schon manuell ausrichten muss: Wieso kann ich sie nicht per Knopfdruck hinter Taz zentrieren, sondern muss sie elend langsam schwenken? So was kann einem den Spielspaß gehörig versauen, was mir hier eine dicke Träne ins Auge treibt: Selten sah man ein »cartoonigeres« Spiel auf dem PC: Der Grafikstil ist einfach hinreißend, die Figuren ebenso durchgeknallt wie die Aufgabenstellungen. Falls Ihr solche Programme mögt, solltet Ihr vor dem Kauf unbedingt ein Probespiel wagen, und sehen, ob Ihr mit der Steuerung zurechtkommt.

It looks frayed around the edges in comparison to the greats. Imitating instead of innovating. Springboards, slippery surfaces, wobbly logs, timed jumps, it's all there. It's easy to concede that you can play through Taz once over and get what you paid for. Just don't expect much more from it. Oh, and in case you think I've forgotten, the camera sometimes gets stuck behind scenery. Fancy that.

It's really just kind of sad. They stepped in the right direction by giving Taz the power to destroy parts of the environment and eat things, but they didn't keep going in the destructive direction with enough creativity. That destruction and bad behavior is what Taz was all about in the original cartoons. Seeing him virtually castrated like he is in this game makes me weep for the loss of my funny and violent childhood where people weren't whining like little babies all of the time and actually could understand moderately intelligent humor. Mixing that in with all of the spitting and destruction would have been nice.

Der tasmanische Randalierer gehört zu meinen Lieblingsfiguren, deshalb war ich auf Taz Wanted besonders gespannt. Lob verdienen sich die Macher für das originelle Leveldesign und die witzigen Animationen. Dummerweise ist das Spiel viel zu schwer. Außerdem bewegt sich die Kamera gern einen Tick zu spät. Schade, denen mit etwas Tuning hätte aus Taz’ Maidenhatz ein nettes Spiel werden können. So bleibt es ein Fall für Pad-Profis mit hoher Frust-Toleranz.

Who should actually get Taz Wanted? Parents who want to occupy their very young children--children who are so young that they don't know enough to find Taz Wanted's poor gameplay to be frustrating, maybe. Or fanatical Looney Tunes fans who have to collect every last little Warner Bros. souvenir, maybe. Everyone else would probably be better off giving it a pass.

Taz : Wanted recrée bien l'univers des cartoons, grâce notamment à des couleurs chatoyantes, un gameplay speed dopé par la possibilité de "tornader" et une musique sympa. Mais les défauts de maniabilité et de caméra ainsi que les tâches, trop répétitives, occultent ses qualités.

Die zwölf Levels sind extrem unübersichtlich aufgebaut und mit allerlei Fallen gespickt, ein Adventure-Gefühl will sich wegen der allgemeinen Hektik dennoch nicht einstellen. Damit der Spieler in die authentische Taz-Stimmung kommt, wird er mit vier Richtungs- und fünf Funktionstasten verwirrt, zudem zeigt die niemals still stehende Kamera grundsätzlich in die falsche Richtung und verbirgt wichtige Levelelemente.

Pour conclure, je m'appretais en premier lieu à conseiller le jeu à ceux qui prennent leur pied en suivant les péripéties de l'ami Taz, mais finalement je revois mon jugement car même en étant fan, et malgré la présence de gags, ce titre est exaspérant et sans grand intérêt.
