Description
Lode Runner is a one or two player, shareware game in which the player(s) explore underground caverns seeking gold, climbing ladders, avoiding traps and guards.
The game is, by default, keyboard controlled but the documentation does give instructions on how to configure a joystick.
This eight level game is probably a demo version of Lode Runner: The Legend Returns. Stylistically the two games are very similar though the background artwork differs slightly and the design of the levels is different. Two things connect this game closely with Lode Runner: The Legend Returns, one is that the player is chased by mad monks in red habits and the other is the drop down music menu which features the same worlds as Lode Runner: The Legend Returns.
