An excellent version of a classic board game.
The Good
I love Stratego. It's a great strategy game for those who aren't into huge games like Risk or Axis & Allies.
Gameplay is exactly like the board game. Setup your pieces, by placing your Marshall, General, Colonel, Major, etc. and Most Importantly, your flag, on the game board. You don't know where your opponents flag is, but it's your mission to capture it. Attacking is easy as moving your piece into a opponents square. If your piece ranks higher that the opponents piece, you cpature that piece. If it is lower ranked, you piece is captured.
There are 5 Different versions of Stratego here. Stratego Classic, Ultimate Lightning, Ultimate Campaign, Alliance Campaign, and Alliance Lightning. Each has different gameplay features, and different setups.
The Bad
The graphics are a bit drab, and the "figiding" that the pieces do is neat for the first 5 minutes, then you just end up turning it off.
The sound is a bit drab as well. A lot of lightly howling wind in the background is great for sleeping to, but not for playing a strategy game.
The Bottom Line
It's a great game if you overlook the Graphic "figiding" and the sound. A great bargain at Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
