Mike Merren started in the Games Industry in 1987 working at Mirrorsoft - working on Cinemaware titles such as Defender of the Crown and Wings. In 1992 he went to Virgin Interactive and worked on some 20 titles for the company including the Broken Sword series with Revolution Software.

Mike then moved from publishing to the development side of the business working with Acclaim Studios London and then as Development Director for the handheld developer Crawfish where he helped with the development of 15 GBA titles in 2 years.

In March 2003, he joined Climax Handheld and eventually returned to Virgin when he joined Virgin PLAY in 2007 as Development Manager of its Virgin PLAY and V.2Play brands.
