Ian Malcolm works as Digital Content Adviser for the City of Melbourne in Australia since April 2010. Previously, he was active in the games industry. His experience also includes a significant tenure at Museum Victoria, where he worked as a writer, editor, and producer from December 2004 to June 2008.

Before that he also worked as a freelance writer, editor, and proofreader, spanning from January 1999 to June 2008. During this period, he collaborated with a wide range of clients, including Lothian Books, Lonely Planet Publications, and the South Australian Film Corporation.

Earlier in his career, Ian served as a Lead Designer at Infogrames Melbourne House for seven years from 1995 to 2002. Before that he worked as a Designer/QA at the same studio when it was still called Beam Software, from 1989 to 1995.
