Richard Baxter started his career in the industry at Psygnosis/Sony in July 1992 as a programmer, he subsequently moved position to become an external producer. He was a member of the external production department responsible for managing external development teams working on numerous products. The most notable of which being Formula 1 for the PlayStation with Bizarre Creations. Some others include Lemmings for Windows, Damocles, Blue Ice, Mickey Mania and Eliminator. He was with the company until 1997 and then became a producer at Codemasters until January 2000. He was responsible for the Micro Machines range at Codemasters culminating in the FoxKids.com Micro Maniacs Racing game for the Playstation.
Between January 2000 and August 2000 he was a senior producer at Hasbro Interactive, at its EuroPress studio. On 7th August 2000 it was announced he was a founder member of LTStudios Ltd. as technical director/senior producer. He managed all technical aspects of small development studio and was responsible for everything from technology direction and management of the team through to IT issues for the studio.
When it closed down by then parent Argonaut Games in May 2004, he did contract work for Traveller's Tales. He developed the game script and AI logic of Crash Twinsanity for Vivendi Universal. Then in September 2004 he became a producer at Eutechnyx. He managed the development teams working on titles such as Ford Vs. Chevy, Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder and The Fast And The Furious 3 - Tokyo Drift.
Since January 2006 he performed as executive producer at In2Games. He managed all areas of external project development for In2Games Gametrak controller system and Real Play range. In late 2008 In2Games was acquired by Performance Designed Products and Richard currently manages UK software development for the US based hardware manufacturer. Richard is currently involved in developing a range of mobile device software using innovative hardware components and has also recently revisited his programming roots with iPhone and Mac OSX.
