Parallax Software Corp.
Overview
Parallax Software was a development studio best known for the
Descent series. It was founded by
Matt Toschlog and
Mike Kulas in 1993. Prior to forming Parallax, Matt and Mike worked for
subLOGIC and
Looking Glass Technologies, writing simulations and 3D engines.
Parallax had offices in Champaign, Illinois and Ann Arbor, Michigan, and decided to split the company into two separate divisions in 1997:
Outrage Entertainment and
Volition. At that moment, Parallax Software Corp. ceased to exist.
