Description
This compilation is part four in the
Amiga Classix-series. Unlike its predecessor, this time it is just an one CD Windows/Mac hybrid (part three was Amiga AGA too).
There are 127 full version Amiga games and 66 additional Amiga Demos in this issue. And since those games aren't ports, an emulator (UAE) is included too.
The compilation uses an easy to use GUI, where you can start a game with a few mouse clicks. You don't have to fiddle around with WinUAE (respectively eUAE for the Mac), in fact, it's even so programmed that you don't need to know how the emulation is done.
Once you started the compilation, and you are inside the compilation's window, you can select the genre you are interested in (
Action,
Adventure,
Arcade,
Sports, and
Strategy & Sim; or
Demo), select the game you want, and the compilation will present you with screenshots and basic info (Year, Company, Web Link, and Manual) about the particularly game, and up to two buttons to start the game (depending on how you want to control the game; mouse/keyboard or mouse/joystick). The game will then immediately start.
Emulated are not just the games itself, but also the actually loading time and i.e. the sounds from the disk drives while reading or writing. Copy protections are nearly completely removed, just three out of the 127 games still have it in place. But since multitasking is working, you can easily look up the manual in those cases.
The following 127 full version games are included (in order of the manual):
Action Games:Adventure Games:Arcade Games:Sport Games:Strategy Games and Simulations Games:
Additional Demos:Part of the Following Group
