Worst example of getting something shoved out the door I've ever seen
The Good
It does play well in DOSBox with correct settings.
The Bad
3 main issues:
1.Terrain Window mentioned in F1-accessed manual does not exist (Ctrl+T does nothing).
2.Unchecking Enable Audio Help does nothing so you can't stop the pestering.
3.The manual that is embedded into the game EXE was a terrible idea and is a total pain to use and interferes with playing the game.
The Bottom Line
SimCity Classic was the previous incarnation and was the best that the first generation of SimCity ever got. This later incarnation was a huge step down and is a waste of time and your nerves because you can't stop the pestering audio other than turning down the volume, but then you lose the sound effects.
What shocks me is Interplay made no effort to patch anything.
