Game Groups > Gameplay feature: Drowning

In early videogame history, a character going for a swim typically meant a quick death. As games got more "realistic", characters could now survive underwater. This group is for games that include a drowning mechanic. If a character is submerged under any type of liquid and can survive for only a set period of time without aid of of some sort of breathing apparatus, they should be included in this group. Typically these games will introduce some sort of oxygen meter or countdown where the player has to either get to some air bubbles or come up for air lest they start losing health and eventually drown.
